When I sought a second opinion at Specsavers Leatherhead (where a comprehensive eye test costs £25), their modern digital phoropter and pupil-mapping revealed that the manual prescription generated here was incorrect and unsafe for my eyes, which have a history of a corrected childhood squint. As a direct contrast to this practice's unlawful demand, Specsavers sent me a PDF file with my clinical records completely free of charge, as required by the UK law.
Furthermore, this practice charges a 20% markup for standard over-the-counter Hycosan Original Eye drops, which are available at Specsavers for £9.99, while they sold it to me for £11.99.
I advise checking alternatives before booking there. P.S. A formal complaint and statutory request for a full refund has been submitted to the practice regarding these issues.
